The 60 Limitless Aero Disc excels at minimizing aerodynamic drag while maintaining a smooth steering moment, allowing riders to carry higher speeds through corners and variable conditions.
Consistent and predictable bike handling during varying side wind conditions empowers the rider to maintain the most aerodynamic position on the bicycle and fully utilize the benefits of aerodynamically optimized wheels. Any aerodynamic advantage is immediately erased if the rider is forced to sit up in the final meters of a chaotic finish in order to maintain control.
The wheelset is ideal for all-out riding and racing at maximum speed on fast courses, like the HUNT-supported LA Sweat Team at Tulsa Tough or the Qhubeka ASSOS team in rapid, flat stages of the European grand tours.
Wind tunnel proven against world leading wheels. See the for full technical details of our wind tunnel testing methodology, including data/graphs and the full range of wheels we tested against.
CeramicSpeed’s world renowned low-friction bearings.
The all-new HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc wheelset was designed to provide riders maximum aerodynamic benefit in a system that maintains predictable, stable ride characteristics. Patented Limitless width technology, developed by HUNT's inhouse engineering team along with Pete Marchment (Co-Founder & Materials Scientist), utilises co-molded low-density polymer (density of 0.7g/cm3 vs. carbon fibre pre-perg of 1.6g/cm3) in the outer rim construction to achieve an extra wide profile optimized for 25-28c tires, while keeping overall rim weight low.
The wind tunnel results below shows that the HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc offers comparable performance against a number of leading aerodynamic wheel manufacturers. When paired with the optimal Schwalbe Pro One 28mm tire the wheels were the 3rd fastest wheelset on the market at the time of testing.
The power data from the tunnel was analysed with a set of yaw angle weightings, independently published by MAVIC, showing that the wind averaged power difference is as minimal as 0.35W between the HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc and ENVE 5.6 SES DISC and 0.22W between HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc and ROVAL RAPIDE CLX. The testing sessions also found that the 60 Limitless Aero Disc outperforms some deeper, highly considered wheelsets on the market.
The Steering Moment analysis confirms the predictable and stable handling characteristics of the HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc, particularly at yaw angles greater than 10 degrees. For a number of the competitors wheelsets, significant changes in the steering moment curve gradient are observed in the region of 10 degrees yaw, which could result in unpredictable forces felt when encountering changes in wind direction at higher yaw angles such as cornering hard into the final turn of a sprint or turning onto Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway heading back into Kailua-Kona.

Many riders are familiar with the unsettling feeling of turning onto an unprotected road and immediately getting hit with a strong gust of wind; your heart skips a beat for half a second and you grip the bars a little tighter as you regain your confidence. With the development of the 60 Limitless Aero Disc, HUNT set out to make a wheelset that could have smooth and consistent airflow around the rim when you need it most.
As first explored in the testing of the 42 Limitless Gravel Disc, HUNT monitors various elements of aerodynamic performance, including side forces that act on the rims, and the effect those forces have on the steering moment. As with our previous projects, our wheels are tested through a range of effective yaw angles between negative 20 degrees and positive 20 degrees.
Concluded in the white paper attached, the steering moment analysis on the 60 Limitless Aero Disc and its closest competitors confirms predictable and stable handling characteristics. Most notably when the yaw angles are greater than 10 degrees. In the analysis, one can see that there are significant changes in the steering moment curve gradient when in the region of 10 degrees yaw, which could result in unpredictable forces felt when encountering changes in wind direction at higher yaw angles. These changes in wind direction occur numerous times when riding through a city, as wind constantly changes in direction and magnitude as it is pushed up, around and down off of buildings resulting in often chaotic wind flow.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 240lbs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 178lbs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tyres at max 90psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.
60 Day Ride Return Period. We are certain you'll be impressed by the acceleration, low-weight, speed and durability of our wheels. We are cyclists and as such strive to offer class leading service and support. Buy with confidence, if for any reason you wish to return the wheels for a full refund of your order you can do so up to a full 60 days after you receive them whether they have been ridden or not.
We can supply tubeless tires (including sealant) with your wheels which are also designed to work excellently with clincher tires and tubes.
Maximum tire pressure for this rim is 100psi when used with 25-28mm tires. 100 psi is more than enough for any rider on road. Click here to listen to a podcast exploring the science of why lower pressures were found to be faster by pro teams. Maximum tire pressures for other tire sizes: 30mm - 32mm do not exceed 70psi, 33mm do not exceed 50psi, 35-45mm do not exceed 45psi, 45-50mm do not exceed 40psi. Please do not exceed the maximum pressure stated on your tire.
