The Purpose
This is the wheel that started it all. We've updated the specs over the years, but the principle has always remained the same: maximise durability whilst minimising any drawbacks in riding characteristics. A wheel not just designed to endure the worst two seasons, but deliver performance reliably all year round.
Back in 2015 we realised that the specification and weights of the existing available 700c road/CX disc wheels were not ideal for a performance bike that would be used in all weather conditions. A lightweight, durable year-round disc wheelset was one of our first projects, and the outcome was the award-winning HUNT 4 Season Disc wheelset.
The 19mm (internal) rim profile is designed for 25-30mm tires, but will work well from 23-50mm (check compatibility with tyre manufacturer).

H-lock bead-seat for easy and secure tubeless installation. Now featuring a black night-safe reflective decal on rim – perfect for visibility during low-light/night riding.
- Tires | Wide 19mm rim bed creates a wide tire profile. Great with 23 tires, ideal for 25, 28 and cross tires up to 45c. Also work excellently with clincher tires and tubes.
- Hubs | HUNT 4 Season Disc J-bend spoke hubs with extra bearing shielding. 10° FastEngage 4-pawl freehub, with H_CERAMIK coating for enhanced durability. SRAM XDR Driver available. Centre-lock disc mount.
- Axles | Easily adaptable & we fit them for you. Fit all current axle sizes and are easy to change; Front - QR, Bolt thru 12/15/9mm, Rear - QR, Bolt thru 12x142, 12x135, 10x135.

Rims
- Tubeless-ready – designed to work excellently with normal clincher tires and tubes or tubeless tires. Two layers of Hunt Bronze Shield tubeless rim tape fitted. Hunt Wedgr black tubeless valves included.

Spokes

- Triple butted 2.0-1.6-2.0 (then 2.2 at the head for the patented Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement).
- 24 spokes laced 2 cross front and rear.
- Black stainless treatment.
Nipples
- Brass for anti-corrosion resistance.
- Square body for external adjustment and hex head for easy internal adjustment/tensioning.

Tires Info
- Maximum tire pressure for this rim is 100psi when used with 25-28mm tyres. 100 psi is more than enough for any rider on road. Maximum tire pressures for other tyre sizes: 30mm - 32mm do not exceed 70psi, 33mm do not exceed 50psi, 35-45mm do not exceed 45psi, 45-50mm do not exceed 40psi.
- The maximum pressure of your tire may be lower than the maximum pressure for the rim - never exceed the maximum pressure written on the side of your tire.
- Suitable for tires from 23mm up to 50mm wide.
- Suitable tubeless road, gravel and CX tires are available from a huge range of companies.
Axle Size
- These wheels are available with all existing disc brake road bike axle adapter sizes. All our axle adapters are easy to swap but we'll fit the adapters your bike needs to save you the work. After your order checkout is completed a simple form will show, as well as being sent to you in your confirmation email. The form allows you to select the axle size your bike needs, don't worry it also includes the option to tell us your bike model and we will find out and then fit the correct axles, plus we're happy to change them later at our cost if you don't quite get it right. All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 220lbs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 200lbs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use minimum 25mm tires at max 100psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.
