The Purpose
The 44 Aerodynamicist Carbon Disc benefits from the further trickle-down effect of HUNT's in-house engineering team Aerodynamicist rim profiles, as first seen on the 48 Limitless Aero Disc. The rim used is the same as in the 44 UD Carbon Spoke Disc, but paired with conventional steel spokes.

Following the release of our UD Carbon Spoke Disc range, many of you were asking if we could offer the Aerodynamicist rims found in that range with conventional steel spokes for usability & ease of maintenance.
As with all wheels faaturing an Aerodynamicist profile, we've performed wind tunnel testing on the wheels to bring you the information on not only how these stack up against competitor wheelsets, but also how they sit within our range.

Aerodynamicist performance, now accessible
- Rims | Aerodynamicist disc-specific rim profiles, designed from the ground up. Toray T700/T800 carbon-fibre with a stronger ratio of T800 (T40) fibres to achieve greater strength-to-weight ratio. Unidirectional sidewalls with 3K weave bed and spoke areas. Drainage hole to prevent water ingress.
- Tires | 20mm rim bed optimised for superior aerodynamic performance with a 25-28c tubeless tire, but also very capable with a 23c. Tubeless-Ready. Also works excellently with clincher tires and tubes.
- Hubs | Sprint straight-pull hubs, with a 15mm diameter 7075-T6 axle. Circular dropout interface steps for added stiffness. 3x treble tooth pawls resulting in just 7.5˚ engagement. Steel spline insert to protect the cassette body.
- Axles | Easily adaptable & we fit them for you. Fit all current axle sizes and are easy to change; Front - QR, Bolt thru 12/9mm, Rear - QR, Bolt thru 12x142, 12x135, 10x135.

Tires Info
- Maximum tire pressure for this rim is 100psi when used with 25-28mm tires. 100 psi is more than enough for any rider on road. Click here to listen to a podcast exploring the science of why lower pressures were found to be faster by pro teams.
- Maximum tire pressures for other tire sizes: 30mm - 32mm do not exceed 70psi, 33mm do not exceed 50psi, 35-45mm do not exceed 45psi, 45-50mm do not exceed 40psi
- Please do not exceed the maximum pressure stated on your tire.
- Suitable for tires from 23mm up to 50mm wide.
- Suitable tubeless road, gravel and CX tires are available from a huge range of companies.
Axle Size
- These wheels are available with all existing disc brake road bike axle adapter sizes. All our axle adapters are easy to swap but we'll fit the adapters your bike needs to save you the work. After your order checkout is completed a simple form will show, as well as being sent to you in your confirmation email. The form allows you to select the axle size your bike needs, don't worry it also includes the option to tell us your bike model and we will find out and then fit the correct axles, plus we're happy to change them later at our cost if you don't quite get it right. All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 240lbs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 200lbs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 90psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.

We can tubeless tires (including sealant) with your wheels. They are also designed to work excellently with clincher tires and tubes.
